Wondering what to do during the school holidays? Join us for some family fun with our Batik Art Workshops during this holiday season! Discover the beauty of this traditional Southeast Asian art form, its history and its uses. Working as a team, parent and child will learn the techniques of batik and work together to wax and colour their very own batik using contemporary tools and dyes!

You will also find out how batik art is created by Indonesian artisans from the central Javanese village of Kebon Indah and their collaboration with contemporary artists Samantha Tio (Mintio) and Budi Agung Kuswara (Kabul) that resulted in an exhibition currently on display at the NUS Baba House.
