[Workshop] Introduction to Chinese Ink Painting
Date: Saturdays, 4 & 11 June and 18 & 25 June, 2016 (Repeat Sessions)
Venue: NUS Museum
Requires a minimum of 13 pairs of parent and child to conduct workshop.
This June, explore more about the traditional Chinese art form of ink painting in our Introduction to Chinese Ink Painting workshops. In the first session, parents and children will be introduced to the history of Chinese ink painting before learning basic brush techniques and painting objects such as bamboo, birds and flowers.
In the second session, you will discover how to capture the spirit of a subject with contemporary brush techniques. A greater emphasis will be placed on brush control and composition of your ink painting. At the end of workshop, each team will bring home their own unique work!
Children's Season 2016 is jointly presented by National Heritage Board and Museum Roundtable.
