NUS Museum Week 2014, which showcases Asian arts, will comprise a four-day road show at UTown and culminate in a finale night at the NUS Museum.
At the road show, the top 10 entries from the Asian Portraits Competition that re-interpret Asian art or inspirations from the NUS Museum will be exhibited. The NUS community is encouraged to vote for their favourite artwork.
The road show will also include live art-mini workshop sessions where participants can design and create stationery using hand carved stamps and MT Tapes for free, souvenir giveaways, and a Peranakan-themed photo booth.
To wrap up the week of festivities, there will be a finale event at the NUS Museum which also serves as a prize-giving ceremony for the artwork competition. Participants can look forward to free museum tours, community batik painting, live performances from student groups, a Polaroid photo booth, and refreshments.
NUS Museum Week 2014 is jointly organised by NUS Museum and students of NUS Business School, Acacia, Eunike, Noviabella and Stephany, undertaking the project as part of the module FSP4003 Field Service Project supervised by Professor Wu Pei Chuan.
