The NUS Museum “Open House 2012” presents a delightful evening of art, sounds, and words experienced within the galleries of the museum. Set amidst the exhibitions, artists and audience are invited to perform and play.
There will be two ongoing programmes during the Open House: featuring “Darkroom: a photographic exhibition”: artist Geraldine Kang’s interpretation of the museum as photographic space, and a Painting Performance by visual artist Speak Cryptic. Bani Haykal leads the Sonic Sound performance, alongside performers from a workshop, developed based on Bani’s exploration of both the physical and sonic space of music performance through both physical and music improvisation. Artists and writers, Jay Bernard, Nabilah Husna, Tania De Rozario, Shubigi Rao, and Zarina Muhammad, will also read and perform through the medium of text.
