P for Paint

[Gallery impression, P for Paint, NUS Museum, 2010]

Date: 20 Oct 2010 – 30 Jan 2011
Venue: Atrium Gallery, NUS Museum
26 students from the Division of Industrial Design, School of Design and Environment, NUS collaborated with ICI Dulux to investigate the fundamental values of paint. Through a study of the essence and particularities of paint as a product, and painting as an experience, more than a hundred definitions of paint emerged. P for Paint features works by the students who had each selected a statement from the collection of definitions and expounded it into communicative visual pieces. This exhibition is a showcase of imaginative inquiry through product, meaning and experience.
